A Data Source record in Yellowfin contains the connection details the system uses to access source data for reporting. Connections are then used by Views to provide tables and fields. Through the Admin Console you will be able to create new data sources and associated views. In addition you will be able to manage the security access to these connections.

h3. Source Types
Yellowfin supports numerous data sources for you to report off.  These include SQL databases such as DB2, Oracle and SQL Server, Lotus Notes Domino, and Yellowfin In-Memory. 


h2. Data Source List
Yellowfinのデータソースレコードには、レポート目的でソースデータにアクセスする際に使用する接続詳細が含まれます。その後、接続を使用して、ビューで表およびフィールドが表示されます。管理パネルを使用して、新規データソースおよび関連ビューを作成することができます。さらに、これらの接続へのセキュリティアクセスを管理することができます。

The Data Sources list shows you all the available connections that have been defined in the system. This list is accessed by clicking on *Administration* in the main navigation menu and selecting the *Admin Console* option from the drop down list. 

データソース一覧には、システムで定義された使用可能な接続すべてが表示されます。この一覧にアクセスするには、メインナビゲーションメニューの「*管理*」をクリックして、ドロップダウンリストから「*管理パネル*」オプションを選択します。

h2. Add Connection接続の追加

In order to create a new Data Source Connection an administrator will have to click on the *Add* button at the bottom of the Data Sources list in the Admin Console.

新しいデータソース接続を作成するには、管理者は、管理パネルのデータソース一覧の下部にある「*追加*」ボタンをクリックする必要があります。

Once you add a connection you will be taken to the Connection Details page where you will be prompted to fill in required connection parameters.

{color:#CC0000#cc0000}{*Note}注意:*{color} if you have a license restriction on the number of source systems you can use you will encounter an error if you try create a connection that pushes the total number over your limit. To fix this you will need to delete a connection to make room, or adjust your licence.


h2. Edit Connection 使用可能なソースシステム数にライセンス制限がある場合、接続を作成しようとして合計数がこの制限を超えるとエラーが発生します。このエラーを修正するには、接続を削除してスペースを確保するか、またはライセンスを調整する必要があります。


h2. 接続の編集

In order to edit a connection you will need to click on the name in the Data Sources list in the Admin Console.

接続を編集するには、管理パネルのデータソース一覧で名前をクリックする必要があります。

Once選択すると、「接続の詳細」ページが表示され、ここで以前に定義した接続パラメーターを調整することができます。

h2. Delete Connection接続の削除

In order to delete a connection you will need to locate it in the Data Sources list in the Admin Console and click on the *x* button on the right of the row.

接続を削除するには、管理パネルのデータソース一覧で接続を特定し、そのロウの右側にある「x」ボタンをクリックする必要があります。

Onceクリックすると、この接続に依存するビューが存在する場合には削除前に管理者に通知されるよう、この接続の使用状況を一覧表示する確認ページが表示されます。

 接続が削除されると、従属するすべてのビューも削除され、これに伴い従属するレポートも削除されます。
