A scatter plot (points not joined) chart that allows the charting of 2 related attribute series. Can only be used if the data series are related. Useful for finding outliers in data that is not linear.

*1.* Click on the *Create* link and select *Report* to begin building your report.

*2.* You should now be on the Initialise Report page. Select the *Drag and Drop Builder* as the build tool.

*5.* On the *Step 1. Report Data* page set the Output Options to *Chart Only* by selecting it in the *Report Options* section on the right. This will ensure that the information appears as a chart.

*6.* As you want to see each individual camp rating in our Histogram you will need to enable the display of Duplicate Records.
*7.* To do this, expand the *Report Data* section and enable the *Show Duplicate Records* option.

*8.* On the Report Data page, drag and drop the !rpt_dim.png! *Gender* dimension, and !rpt_metric.png! *Camp Rating* metric into the Column Fields area.
*9.* Add the !rpt_metric.png! *Camp Rating* metric to the Filters area as well.
*10.* You will need to remove the aggregations on both copies of the !rpt_metric.png! *Camp Rating* fields by selecting each one individually and clicking on the !clear.png! Clear button.
*11.* Click on !step_right_on.png! at the top of the page to move to the next step.

*12.* Next you will need to setup a filter to remove results with a Camp Rating of zero. This is because when athletes cancel their booking and don't attend a camp their Camp Rating defaults to 0.
*13.* Set the filter to *Camp Rating* Different from *0*.
*14.* Click on !step_right_on.png! at the top of the page to move to the next step.

*15.* You should now see the Pie Chart image (pictured here). Click on the image to go to the Chart Format page where you can setup your chart.

*16.* Click on the *Chart* Menu, select *Statistical* as the Chart Type and click on the picture of the *Histogram* Chart to select it.
*17.* Click *Save*, this will load the options for a Histogram Chart.

*18.* In the *Chart Data* section you will need to select the data for each setting in the chart.
*19.* Set the Series to *Camp Rating*.
*20.* Click the *Refresh* link to generate your chart.

*21.* You should now have a chart that looks like the one pictured.
*22.* You may want to try setting the Colour to *Gender* in order to layer the histogram.

*23.* You should have a layered Histogram that looks like this.
*24.* You now need to *Save* and *Activate* your chart. Click on the *Close* button to go back to the Report Preview page.

*25.* Click on the *Save* Menu and use *Histogram Chart Tutorial* as the Name.
